I am currently an associate professor in the physics department in Bar Ilan University.
I am a theoretical astrophysicist, working on a broad range of subjects on high energy astrophysics, relativistic plasma physics, astro-particle physics and radiative transfer problems in various transient objects. My work is mainly theoretical – both analytical and numerical. In the past 8 years I was responsible for the development of the GR-R-MHD code cuHARM. While focusing on developing models from basic physical principles, I am heavily and happily involved in data analysis and interpretation, and some of my works are phenomenological in nature. Further details can be found in the links above.
Between 2012-1018 I was a lecturer, then a full professor in the physics department in UCC.
Between 2010 – 2012 I was a research associate at the Institute of Theory and Computation which resides in the Harvard Center for Astrophysics (CfA).
Between 2007-2010 I was a Riccardo Giacconi fellow at the Space Telescope Science Institute (STScI).
Earlier, I was a postdoctoral fellow at the Astronomical Institute “Anton Pannekoek”, in the University of Amsterdam (UvA).
Between 1999 -2004 I was a Ph.D. student at the Weizmann Institute of Science .
